Living it isn't always so easy

Hanging out with people who invest in the stock market is very much like hanging out in a boy's locker room — you hear countless stories of luck, good judgment and terrific success, but very little about stupidity, misfortune, losses and terrible failures. 

Sex is really much more interesting than the stock market, because it's not nearly as close to a zero-sum game.  To win in the stock market, some one else has to lose, whereas in sex, people often win or lose together, and can transform a loss into a win in the most amazing ways. 

This section is about how things we often talk confidently about, with worldly sophistication and maturity, are really no easier for us than if we were teenagers trying to figure everything out for the first time. 

This section is about how living your sexual dreams is harder (and much more interesting) than fantasizing about them or talking about them.
